My Approach

I incorporate many approaches to therapy including narrative work, trauma-informed methods and mindfulness. My style is client-centered, relational and supportive. I work with clients to tailor sessions to individual needs and work with clients to achieve their therapeutic goals. I believe that therapy should be a safe place to land where you feel heard.

My therapeutic style is relational, empathic and straightforward. I believe that the relationship you build with your therapist is of utmost importance and is a vehicle to promote healing and growth. I also believe in the importance of giving space to explore and sit with difficult feelings. Together we look at patterns and behaviors and find ways to make changes moving forward. That could be through anxiety management strategies or working through the trauma of a past relationship. It could be through education about how your body is responding to stress and ways to soothe your reactions. Maybe it is giving words to what you are working on inside and exploring other ways to view your story. I believe no problem is too small to be worked on in therapy. Our mental health impacts every area of our lives and it is so important to prioritize it. I look forward to working with you.
